The Two Easiest Ways to Beat The Heat this Summer
With summers just around the corner, fighting dehydration becomes an inevitable part of one’s life. In medical terms, dehydration is the excessive loss of body water which can disrupt the normal metabolism of a person’s body. This, in turn, leads to fatigue and tiredness.
Below, we will check out two of the most common summertime drinks and their recipes and explain as to why these are the best body rehydrators.
Nimbu Paani
Also known as Shikanji in our local language, it is a quick and the most ideal beverage for summers and specially to prevent dehydration of the body. Making of this healthy drink does not cost much and is very quick. Scientifically, the sour flavors stimulate salivation more than any other taste. Acidic drinks wet the mouth and give the impression of hydration even after your lemonade or vinegar water is finished.
Recipe: For making nimbu paani, all we need is a lemon, a glass of water, sugar and a pinch of salt for flavouring and a few mint leaves for the fresh taste.
Aam Panna
This drink is a tangy summer cooler and is known for its heat resistant properties. It is made from green mangoes. Aam panna contains a large assortment of sugar and spices which is an effective remedy for heat exhaustion and heat stroke. It also prevents loss of sodium chloride and iron which is caused by excessive sweating during the summers.
Recipe: To make Aam Panna, all you require are some green and raw mangoes, sugar, salt and some black salt for taste, water, ice and some mint leaves for the cool taste after.
